I want to emphasize here that “small” donations matter. The number of people who can reasonably give thousands of dollars to this cause, or any other, is relatively small. But the number of people who can reasonably give a few dollars is huge. If every single US citizen would give just $1 to a cause, the total would approach $300 billion and that cause would be substantially furthered.
So please choose an organization, or two or three, and donate five bucks. Or ten. Or one! It really does make a difference!
